Sonia Roy, ​a young artist continuing her journey into the music indurty. At the age of 9 she had taken part in a music competiton where she first won an award for being the best singer amounsgt the others. This teen competiton allowed her to continue her journey futhur. Her hit single 'The one' was relased in 2012 which became highly popular and sucessful both nationally and worldwide and was number one on the top ten chats, within this music video she starred with her closefriend, as shown on the video (The yong lady acting as the couple), this video is based on her close friends love life, and demonstrates her feelings towards the young guy. The music video keeps the audeince engaged as it almost has a narraive to it. This single 'The One' made 6.2millon, which was very sucessful. she has also made other singles such as 'On the floor'  and 'Dance Again' these were released in 2002. This made her a top superstar internationally.

Roy was born in the UK in a town called Tooting at St Georges Hospital on the 18th November 1984. She is a mixed race young lady. Her mother is borin in America, and her farther is born in India At the age of 4 she was aspired by music, she always wantd to be like other singers at a young ageand made a promis to her prents that whenshe gows upshewill entuall become one of the most popular well known artists, and here she is, not only has she become themos well knn artists in he UK but has also made herself poplar by modelling for retail stores such as 'River island'. simlarly  she is also interested in modelling and dancing and has taken part in many competitions against other young tennagers/ young adults. By modelling and dancing made her more confident in peforming amoungst a large amount of people. She had also worked with other stars such as 'Akon' and 'Pitbull'.

In 2010 Sonia Roy had travelled in different locations to perfrom live to her fans. She has traveled to many different places such as, America,London O2 arena, locl area in croydon and has also gone back to her farthers home land India to perform. She has followed her dreams and has made her parents proud.

Due to her sucess she now wishes to carry on her journey within the music industry and hopes to increase inthe number of fans, and also work with diffrent artists to become mre sucessful.
